Lyon County Public Health is reporting eight new coronavirus cases in its daily update Tuesday.
This brings the overall total since late March to 1,075 cases. With nine recoveries also noted, the active case number dropped to 66.
The death toll remains at 35 plus three cases pending death certificate information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Only one cluster category remains following the removal of the school category.
* Colleges and Universities: 1 active cluster, 61 total cases, 5 active cases, 0 deaths.

*Osage County reported seven new cases bringing the overall total to 106 with 16 active cases, down one from Thursday and no deaths. Additionally, a positive coronavirus case has been identified within a student at Santa Fe Trail Middle School, prompting the school to cancel all classes for sixth through eighth grade and school activities for two weeks.
