With an increase in temperatures leading into the weekend, the Peter Pan Park splash pad will likely be a busy place the next few days.
Temperatures will likely approach 90 Friday and could go above 90 Saturday before stepping back into the upper 70s Sunday.
There’s another reason the splash pad may be busy. The spray park will close for the year Sunday night.
The splash pad was built last year and rapidly became a popular hangout for children and families alike. The pad’s opening this spring was delayed two weeks as part of the city’s response to COVID-19.
The water turns off for the final time at 8 pm Sunday.
