The lineup is now set for the Emporia Community Foundation’s seventh annual Match Day.
The Community Foundation has announced 23 organizations will participate this year. The list can be found below.
In the fundraiser’s early stages, donations took place in a 10-hour window at Flinthills Mall. This year, the event Nov. 16 will be online-driven at www.emporiamatchday.com with the mall aspect not taking place. Community Foundation Director Becky Nurnberg says the change was made to ensure the safety of everybody involved.
People who do not have access to the Internet can come to the Community Foundation office, 527 Commercial Suite B, during normal business hours on Nov. 16.
The annual check presentation will be on National Giving Day, which is Dec. 1.
For the second straight year, the event has $60,000 in matching funds available through contributions from the Clint Bowyer 79 Fund; Hopkins, Reeble and Trusler Foundations; Preston Family Trust and WS and EC Jones Testamentary Trust, Bank of America, NA, Trustee. Participating groups will receive a prorated amount of the matching pool as part of their overall total.
More information is available online at www.emporiamatchday.com, on the Community Foundation Facebook page or by calling 342-9304.
