No injuries and minor damage resulted from a crash involving an Emporia Police SUV on Sunday.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says both a personal SUV and Emporia Police vehicle were westbound on East Sixth when the crash happened shortly after 1 pm near Union Street. Early indications are the driver of the personal SUV turned around to check on a child in a rear seat and rear-ended the police SUV.
Initially, the incident was reported as an injury crash but nobody needed medical treatment. Names have not been released.
