The Olpe Eagles held on for a 13-7 win over Lyndon in a battle of unbeatens last night in the featured Area Game of the Week on Country 101.7FM.
Olpe coach Chris Schmidt credited his defense with holding Lyndon to 1 touchdown.
Olpe quarterback Damon Redeker scored a rushing touchdown and also had a pick 6.
The lone score for Lyndon came on a pass from Darian Massey to Toby Miller.
Olpe improves to 3-0. Lyndon falls to 2-1.
Chase County rolled to a 50-0 win over Valley Falls in the featured Area game on MIX 104.9.
Chase County quarterback Mitch Budke scored 3 rushing touchdowns on runs of 4, 56 and 55 yards. He also threw 2 touchdown passes. A 10 yard pass to Trint Rogers and a 31 scoring pass to Blaise Holloway.
Chase County Coach Brody Vandegrift said Mitch Budke played well along with the rest of the team.
Trint Rogers also returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown.
Brock Griffin scored on a 66 yard run.
The Bulldogs improve to 2-1 for the season.
