The American Red Cross is hosting a Blood Drive in Emporia this coming Friday.
The drive is set to run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2313 Graphic Arts Road.
Susan Faler, Spokesperson for the American Red Cross, says that this is not the only upcoming blood drive.
Faler went on to detail the many methods these blood drives employ to maintain donor safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. These include wearing masks, temperature checks, use of hand sanitizer, and social distancing.
Donors are encouraged to make an appointment by visiting redcrossblood.org and using sponsor code EmporiaLDS, or by calling 800-RED-CROSS.
