There have not been any new reports in coronavirus cases so far this weekend, but one area county is changing its reporting procedures for the general public.
Coffey County announced it will issue its updates on Fridays now instead of whenever numbers change for new cases, active cases or deaths. The county just went above 100 cases in this past Friday’s report.
Coffey County now joins Chase and Morris counties with weekly reports unless special circumstances arise. Both Chase and Morris counties have been issuing their updates on Mondays. Lyon County will continue daily updates until further notice, while Greenwood, Osage and Wabaunsee counties have been reporting as their caseloads change.
