The Emporia High boys soccer team had a rough night Thursday. They were shutout by Newton 6-0.
Coach Victor Ibarra says they will need to use the match as a opportunity to get better.
The Spartans are now 1-1-1. They are scheduled to play at Hayden Tuesday.
