The Emporia Community Foundation is now encouraging nonprofit organizations to submit applications for the foundation’s 2021 grant cycle.
The Community Foundation Grant Committee offers grants for what it calls innovative projects and programs that meet changing community needs in certain areas like health, social services, education, recreation and cultural affairs.
Applications are due Sept. 30.
Separately, the Community Foundation says the Emporia Public School Endowment Fund is providing resources for teachers to instill learning strategies, creative teaching methods and other projects to help students become lifelong learners. Applications are due Sept. 30.
The Sadie Jones Fund, meanwhile, is offering resources for public health and safety projects for students in Lyon and Chase counties. That application deadline is Oct. 1.
Applications for all three ventures are online at www.emporiacf.org. More information is available by calling 342-9304 or by going to the Community Foundation office at 527 Commercial Suite B in Emporia.
