The National Teacher’s Hall of Fame will be announcing its class of 2020 inductees next week.
The announcement will be made via Youtube next Monday. Normally the announcements would have been made individually in each of the inductee’s hometowns at their respective schools, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic those plans had to be halted earlier this year and adjusted.
Hall of Fame Director Carol Strickland says she is extremely excited for the announcement as the inductees have waited long enough to hear the good news.
While this year’s announcements will not be taking place in the typical format, it will be seen and heard on a much larger scale. According to Strickland, the College Football Playoff Foundation is allowing the Hall of Fame to broadcast the announcement via its YouTube channel on a national level.
Strickland says this partnership has already begun to stir nationwide attention.
The announcement ceremony will take place at 5 pm Monday evening. With the induction ceremonies being pushed back to next year, there will be no 2021 Hall of Fame class Strickland tells KVOE News. Official plans for the traditional slate of Hall of Fame induction activities, including the annual trip to Washington D.C. and the induction ceremony itself are still pending, however, Strickland says they hope to give all of their newest inductees the most traditional experience they possibly can.
