A man who pleaded no contest to indecent solicitation and sexual exploitation of children will receive over 10 years in prison for the crimes.
Derek Stefan, 42, was sentenced this week to almost 7 1/2 years in prison on two aggravated indecent solicitation counts. He also received nearly three years in prison for a single exploitation count after a hearing in Lyon County District Court this week. The punishment for the individual crimes will be served consecutively. Stefan also has lifetime offender registration as part of his sentence.
Stefan was first accused of alleged involvement with five children ranging in age from 10 to 16 between September 2017 and February 2018.
