The Emporia High boys soccer team played Wichita Home School to a 3-3 tie Tuesday.
Goals by Hector Hernandez and Juan Rios gave the Spartans a 2-1 lead at halftime. Hector Hernandez scored his 2nd goal of the match to put the Spartans in front 3-2 in the 2nd half. A penalty kick tied the match for Home School.
The Spartans are 1-0-1, they are scheduled to host Newton Thursday and will be holding senior night.
