Emporia High cross country runner Treyson True finished in 1st place at the Manhattan Invitational Saturday. He finished with a personal best time of 15:38.6.
Jonathan Laudie finished in 9th place, Caden Wilson 19th, Tyler Proehl 26th, Tanner McGuire 37th and Shiloh Arguello 38th. As a team the Emporia High boys finished in 3rd place behind Manhattan and Wamego.
The Emporia High girls did not have a full varsity squad and did not place. Taryn West finished in 7th place to lead the Lady Spartans. Micha Sheffy-Harris finished in 11th place, Avery Gutierrez 22nd and Miranda Taylor 26th.
The Emporia High Cross Country teams will host a meet next Saturday.
