he Emporia High Volleyball team opened their season with a sweep of Topeka High Tuesday night.
The Lady Spartans won the best of 5 sets match, 25-15, 25-11, 25-10. Coach Ashley Nehls called it a good start to the season.
Sophomore Rebecca Snyder led the offense with 7 kills, Senior Abbie Demler added 6 kills. She said it felt good to get the win on Senior night.
Junior Grace Xu finished with 23 assists.
The Lady Spartans go to Junction City Thursday to play Junction City and Topeka West.
