Lyon County saw a large decrease in its number of active COVID-19 cases Tuesday.
Lyon County Public Health reported eight new cases with 19 recoveries. The active caseload has dropped from 95 to 84.
The total number of cases now stands at 878 with 776 total recoveries. The number of deaths remains at 17 with 16 pending death certificate information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
For clusters:
Private Industry is reporting 2 active clusters, 154 total cases, 7 active cases and 1 death
Long Term Care has one active cluster, 151 total cases, 11 active cases, 10 deaths and 14 deaths pending certificate information from KDHE.
Bars or Restaurants has 1 active cluster, 6 total cases, 5 active cases and no deaths.
Elsewhere in the KVOE listening area:
*Chase County has 76 total cases with 18 active.
*Coffey County is now at 81 cases with seven active.
*Greenwood County added three new cases over the weekend. It now has 34 total cases, nine of which are active.
*Morris County has 22 total cases, five of which are active.
*Osage County is now at 63 total cases. The number of active cases is now at seven with two new recoveries listed Tuesday.
*Wabaunsee County has 57 active cases with nine active.
