Lyon County saw 15 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend according to public health’s daily update Monday.
The active case number now stands 95 with the total number of cases now at 870. Eight new recoveries were listed bringing the total recoveries to 757.
The number of deaths remained at 17, with 15 cases pending final classification on cause of death from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. 10 of those deaths are in Lyon County’s long-term care cluster category.

Private industry has 2 active clusters, 154 total cases, 7 active cases and 1 death
Long team care has 1 active cluster, 151 total cases, 19 active cases and 10 deaths plus 13 pending death certificates from KDHE.
Bars or restaurants has 1 active cluster, 6 total cases, 6 active cases and no deaths.
