Lyon County deputies say a teenaged driver escaped serious injuries after a rollover wreck in northeast Lyon County.
Deputy Jason Gifford says 16-year-old Destiny Boyer of rural Lyon County was southbound on Burlingame Road when she lost control of her car north of Road S for undetermined reasons. The car went off the road and rolled onto its top shortly before 3:20 pm.
Boyer sustained minor injuries but was able to walk away from the wreck. An ambulance took her to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
Emporia Fire and Reading first responders joined deputies at the scene of the crash.

One person was hurt in a rollover crash near the Lyon State Fishing Lake on Friday.
Emporia Fire and Lyon County deputies responded to an injury crash call in the 2600 block of Burlingame Road around 3:30 pm. They found a vehicle on its top in the west ditch along Burlingame north of Road S or less than a mile from the lake.
Deputy Jason Gifford says the injured person was taken to Newman Regional Health with apparently non-life-threatening injuries. Further details are pending.
