Lyon County Public Health’s daily coronavirus update is noting an increase in the active COVID-19 caseload Friday with 10 new cases reported.
The active case number now stands at 88, up from 81 Thursday with three new recoveries listed. The total number of cases now stands at 855 with 749 total recoveries.
The number of deaths remains at 17 with 11 pending death certificate information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
For clusters:
Private Industry has two active clusters with 153 total cases, six active cases and one death
Long Term Care has one active cluster with 148 total cases, 22 active cases, 10 deaths with nine cases pending death certificates from KDHE.
Bars or Restaurants has one active cluster, six total cases, six active cases and no deaths.
Elsewhere in the listening area:
*Greenwood County announced three new cases between Thursday and Friday bringing the total number to 28 cases with 24 recoveries and four active cases.
*Chase County continues to report 15 active cases with one death pending death certificate information from KDHE.
*Coffey County announced two new cases Wednesday and has six active cases, 77 total cases and eight deaths at this time.
*Morris County has four active cases, 18 total cases and no deaths.
*Osage County announced one new recovery for a total of 51 with nine active cases.
*Wabaunsee County has nine active cases, 51 total cases, one hospitalization and no deaths.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment announced 1,111 new cases and six new COVID-19 deaths statewide Friday. This brings the total number of positive cases in Kansas to 41,048 and raises the death count to 443.
