Last week, the big topic for Lyon County commissioners was passage of the 2021 budget. This week, it’s zoning.
County commissioners will discuss whether to pass the current draft of zoning regulations during their action session. The discussion follows a lengthy public discussion at the Lyon County Planning and Appeals Board meeting two weeks ago. It also follows a 4-2 vote to not recommend the current document.
Commissioners could approve the recommendation to not move forward, override it or send the draft back to the Planning and Appeals Board for more talks.
Besides the zoning discussion, commissioners could formally approve the 2020 abstract for the primary election earlier this month. Four executive sessions are also planned.
The meeting starts at 9 am at the County Courthouse.
