Following the confirmation of one positive coronavirus case and seven others directed to quarantine this week, Flint Hills Technical College has added a tracking dashboard to its website.
The information source will only display the number of students that have developed COVID-19 and the number of students asked to quarantine themselves for being close contacts of confirmed patients, in part due to the size of the student body and in part because FHTC does not have a student health services department. FHTC also plans to combine students, faculty and staff in its report. It also will not release information on campus, program or class for the affected people.
The dashboard will be updated every Friday until further notice.
The FHTC dashboard follows the creation and rollout of Emporia State University’s dashboard this past Friday. ESU has three confirmed patients with one isolating on campus. Five other students are quarantining on campus. Like FHTC, ESU is updating its dashboard every Friday.
