A two-SUV crash outside Olpe has sent a Madison woman to Emporia for medical treatment.
Lyon County Deputy Brandon Early says the crash happened in the 1300 block of Road 50, about four miles southeast of Olpe, shortly before 5:20 am Monday. The crash investigation determined 47-year-old Necie Perez of Madison was eastbound on Road 50 while 35-year-old Ryan Gasche of Olpe was westbound.
Exactly how the crash transpired is not currently being released, but Perez was taken by ambulance for apparently minor injuries. Gasche declined treatment. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
7:10 am Monday: Wreck outside Olpe hurts one person
One person was hurt in an early-Monday crash in southern Lyon County.
Early indications are two vehicles collided in the 1300 block of Road 50, about four miles southeast of Olpe. The crash was called in shortly before 5:30 am. The patient suffered apparently non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment.
