Despite best efforts to provide a hybrid event, the second annual No Coast Film Festival will be completely virtual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision to move the festival online was made after it was determined organizers could not hold the festival they truly wanted to according to NCFF President Jamie Darcy.
While local film lovers will not be able to attend in person, they will be able to double their experience as the festival will now take place over the course of four days rather than just two running from Oct. 1-4. Each day will contain a two and a half-hour block of films ranging in genres from children’s films to documentaries, original narratives and much more.
Darcy says the festival will also still be interactive for viewers despite not having an in-person element.
