Presbyterian Manor has announced an employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
Infection preventionist and vice president for health and wellness Jeanne Gerstenkorn says the staffer is a direct care employee in health care and is in isolation. The employee last worked this past Sunday.
Presbyterian Manor says it is following health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Kansas Department of Health and Environment for when employees can return to work after developing an infection. Presbyterian Manor also enacted a strict no-visitor policy in March and all employees are told to follow the best practices model from the CDC as those get updated.
Presbyterian Manor announced two employees developed the illness in June.
