The Kansas City Royals split a doubleheader with the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday.
The Royals won the first game 4-0 behind the 3 hit shutout tossed by Brad Keller who is now 3-0 and yet to allow an earned run. Trevor Rosenthal earned his 6th save. The Royals scored 3 runs in the 1st inning. Ryan O’Hearn drove in 2 runs. Jorge Soler and Whit Merrifield also drove in runs.
Cincinnati won the 2nd game 5-0.
The Reds hit 4 home runs. The Royals were shutout on 1 hit.
The Royals are off Thursday, they are scheduled to begin a 3 game series with the Minnesota Twins on Friday.
