(KU) The Kansas football team now has an contract in hand for a season opening opponent. The Jayhawks will kick-off the season on September 12 against Coastal Carolina.
The game will serve as Kansas’ non-conference game, replacing its previously schedule contest against Southern Illinois, and New Hampshire.
Kansas was originally scheduled to play at Coastal Carolina on September 26, but will instead make a trip to play the Chanticleers in 2021.
The Jayhawks fell to the Chanticleers in the program’s first matchup a season ago, 12-7.
After hosting Coastal Carolina, the Jayhawks will begin Big 12 play at Baylor on September 26.
