The Kansas City Royals held on for a 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday night.
The Royals built a 5-0 lead scoring single runs in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th inning.
Salvador Perez 3 for 5 with 3 RBI. He hit a solo home run in the 3rd inning.
Brad Keller was the winning pitcher after holding the Reds scoreless for the first 6 innings.
Cincinnati scored all 4 runs in the 7th inning.
Trevor Rosenthal earned his 4th save after loading the bases on 3 walks.
The Royals are now 8-11 for the season. They have another off day Thursday. Friday they begin a 4 game series at Minnesota.
