The annual United Way of the Flint Hills Campaign Kickoff is set to take place next week with a new format.
This year’s campaign kickoff will be a drive-thru food drive with all donations benefiting United Way community partners. The benefiting organizations include Food For Students, Help House of Osage County, Morris County Care & Share, and The Salvation Army.
Suggested food items included:
Shelf milk
Condiments
Ramen Noodles
Pancake/waffle syrup
Desserts
Canned meals
Boxed Dinners
Beverages
Canned meats other than tuna
The food drive kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20th from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the northwest corner of the Lyon County Fairgrounds at 12th Avenue and Industrial Road. Face coverings will be required for all United Way staff and volunteers.
