An Emporia woman accused of accosting a security guard at a west Emporia business and then using a rental truck to lead a short chase back in April has a preliminary hearing this week.
Jennifer Suzanne Fisher, 49, is formally accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threat and flee and elude, with an alternate flee and elude count also filed. Her prelim is at 2 pm Thursday in Lyon County District Court.
Officers were called to the Burger King parking lot April 18 after a report a woman driving a rental truck had pulled a knife against another person. Fisher was found at the Walmart parking lot and allegedly drove away from officers towards John North Ford, where she crashed and was captured.
Fisher also allegedly pulled a knife and pointed it at a security guard at Hostess before the chase began.
