Local residents still have plenty of time to assist local first responders in saving lives this week.
The annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is taking place until Friday. The annual friendly competition sees local law enforcement, first responders and firefighters collecting blood donations to assist the American Red Cross.
All donors will receive a free t-shirt, while supplies last, and can cast their vote for the department they feel should win the competition. The blood drive is taking place at Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church located at 2023 West 12th Avenue.
