Lyon County’s roads impacted by flooding rainfall last week are now open.
Assistant Engineer Jim Brull says the handful of roads affected after extremely heavy rainfall in Chase County late last week were reopened by Monday morning. Road damage is isolated and not extensive.
Chase County also had several roads underwater along the Cottonwood River from Elmdale to Saffordville after anywhere from four to seven inches of rain. The county highway department is assessing the extent of the damage as of Monday afternoon.
