Rainfall accumulated at a rapid pace following scattered bursts of rain in the late afternoon and early evening hours Wednesday.
Totals varied across the listening area. Half an inch of rainfall fell at the KVOE Studios following a roughly 45-minute rain shower.
0.90 was reported in Americus in under an hour.

Rainfall is forecasted to continue across the area through the remainder of the workweek. Thursday has a 70 percent chance of precipitation. Those chances drop to 60 percent in the evening.
