Flood concerns are mounting for the KVOE listening area due to early morning storm activity Monday.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning affecting Chase County until 1 pm Monday. Storms could produce heavy rainfall on top of an inch of rain which has already fallen in the area.
Locations which may be impacted include Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Elmdale, Mattfield Green and Cedar Point. Motorists are reminded when approaching a roadway with water over the top of it to turn around and not try to cross it.
