The Emporia City Commission has back-to-back meetings on the calendar Wednesday morning.
Commissioners will begin the day with a study session during which time discussions will range from the purchase of a new fire truck, the development of a new floodplain map, the vacation of Road K and the city’s new website. Additionally, commissioners will also focus on a review of non-personnel funds and the city’s five year plan.
Two weeks ago, the city received its first look at personnel funds as part of its fiscal year 2021 budget discussions. Park improvements, an incentive compliance agreement with Fanestil Meats and potential COVID-19 relief funds will also be discussed.
Following the study session, commissioners will then move directly into an action session which was continued from last Wednesday. Only two items are up for approval including setting a bid time and date for COVID-19 funds projects and the potential issuance of a resolution for the City of Emporia Coronavirus Relief Fund.
The duo of meetings begins at 9 am inside the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium.
