An Emporia man suffered minor injuries after a crash near Olpe on Thursday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 59-year-old Bret Fallis was southbound on Kansas Highway 99 when the crash happened around 7:45 pm. Fallis left the highway near Road 75. He then overcorrected, sending his pickup and trailer to the other side before it rolled.
Fallis was taken to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt.
9:45 pm Thursday: One to Newman following injury accident south of Emporia
Emergency crews made two trips to the scene of an injury accident south of Emporia Thursday evening.
Crews were initially called to the 700 block of South Kansas Highway 99, 14.5 miles south of Emporia, shortly before 7:50 pm. According to the Emporia Fire Department, they did not transport anyone from the scene at that time.
Roughly 30-minutes later, crews were called back to the same area as the individual involved in the accident was complaining of back pain. Crews then took at least one individual to Newman with currently undisclosed injuries.
