Lyon County’s proposed zoning regulations are getting “closer to something everyone can agree to.”
Lyon County Zoning Administrator Sam Seeley offered that sentiment with KVOE News after the Lyon County Planning and Appeals Board met last week.
Much of the meeting last week dealt with minor adjustments in the third draft. The process is now going to a fourth draft, which is getting compiled now for public and government review. The Planning and Appeals Board will consider that draft as part of its Aug. 12 meeting, with the Lyon County Commission tentatively set to look over the document during its meeting Aug. 26.
The zoning code is the county’s first major revision in nearly 20 years and would move the county from the traditional zoning to so-called form-based zoning, which focuses less on land use and more on physical form of structures.
