The Emporia Senior baseball team rallied for a 4-2 win over Ottawa in their first game of the Sam Ellis Classic Friday night.
The 19s scored 3 runs in the 6th to earn the win.
Beau Baumgardner walked to lead off the inning. He would score on a Hunter Groh single. Groh would scored on a Cade Kohlmeier double. Kohlmeier would score on an error. Kohlmeier would also earn the save giving up no runs on 1 hit and a walk.
The 19s will play again Saturday at 12:30 against the Kansas Senators – Graves.
At 10am today Gladstone plays the Topeka Scrappers.
Bracket play begins at 5pm.
