In a move resembling the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic, City Hall in Madison and the City Hall lobby in Lyndon are closed to the public until further notice.
Madison residents are asked to use the city dropbox, mail, website and phone to send needed payments and address other concerns. City Hall had closed April 1 and remained closed for several weeks near the start of the pandemic.
This comes at a time when Greenwood County’s overall caseload has been stable at 11 for several weeks and there have been no active cases for at least two weeks.
In Lyndon, residents are asked to pay bills through the city drive-thru window, email or phone. Residents can attend City Council meetings, which are held in the City Hall basement with social distancing measures in place. City Hall had been closed from March 17 to April 14, with reduced hours from then to June 15.
Osage County has seen several new cases over the past three weeks. At last report Wednesday, it had seven active cases and 21 overall.
