Osage County is not offering specifics, but the Health Department says it has a positive coronavirus case associated with a county athletic team.
The Health Department says the patient is in the north part of the county. It is declining to say whether the patient is part of a high school team, a summer traveling team or another squad. Health Director Jackie Patterson says all close contacts have been notified.
The announcement follows rumors of COVID-19 activity at Santa Fe Trail High School that have since been dispelled.
Osage County is currently reporting seven active cases and 21 overall cases since the pandemic began in March.
