Several short-term road improvement projects are taking place on the Kansas Turnpike near Emporia on Tuesday.
The southbound outside lane will be closed 12-15 miles southwest of the Emporia gate for a shoulder pavement sealing project. The northbound outside lane at mile marker 129, almost exactly between the Emporia gate and the Emporia service area, will be closed for bridge repairs.
