Emporia Police have confirmed a man suspected of stealing liquor from an Emporia business has been arrested.
Late Tuesday morning, Lyon County Crime Stoppers said a man was accused of taking unspecified liquor from Old Rum’s Liquor at an unlisted time. It also announced a reward of up to $1,000 in the case. Crime Stoppers announced the man had been found less than three hours later.
Police Sgt. Lisa Sage says Kevin Pierre, 27, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor theft. Word on formal charges is pending.

A recent theft from an east Emporia business has Emporia Police investigating and Lyon County Crime Stoppers offering a reward.
Authorities haven’t said when Old Rum’s Liquor at 906 East 12th was victimized and they haven’t said how much liquor was taken. Crime Stoppers has posted a photo of the alleged suspect on its social media. We have that photo online at KVOE.com as well.
