Emporia city commissioners have several ordinances up for approval during their action meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Commissioners will consider an ordinance changing the zoning at 1200 Whittier Place from commercial to high-density residential, thus fostering potential development.
Commissioners have two ordinances on so-called main trafficways, one to designate them and another to authorize general obligation bonds for improving them.
Another ordinance will authorize the city to make improvements to city-owned buildings if approved.
The meeting is at 1:30 pm at the Municipal Court Room.
