Lyon County is starting the week with another decrease in the number of active COVID-19 cases.
In its daily update Monday Lyon County Public Health reported a total of 29 active coronavirus cases, a decrease of five from Friday. Two new cases were also listed bringing the number of confirmed and probable positive cases to 487.
Six new recoveries were also noted bringing that total to 450. Seven deaths have occurred so far in Lyon County with the most recent, a Hispanic man, announced Saturday.
Chase County is confirming its fourth positive COVID-19 case while Morris and Osage Counties are reporting no active cases.
406 new COVID-19 cases and 5 new deaths are begin reported by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Monday’s update.
Kansas is reporting 12465 confirmed positive and probable positive coronavirus cases. There have been 259 deaths. 146 of those deaths are connected to long term care clusters.
92 counties are reporting COVID-19 cases in Kansas. That leaves 13 counties without a single case.
