The Army Corps of Engineers’ Tulsa District is encouraging residents to comment on upcoming revisions to the master plan for Council Grove Reservoir.
Under normal circumstances, the Corps of Engineers would hold an in-person workshop at the start of the process. However, coronavirus has changed procedures and prompted an online format instead.
The master plan is important because it serves as the strategic land use framework, including recreational, natural and cultural resources. The Corps of Engineers is revising the plan to account for changes in land classifications, resource management objectives, recreational facility needs, invasive species management and other changes from the past 40-plus years.
