One motorcycle rider is dead after a crash near Lyndon on Saturday.
The crash happened at 2:10 pm at the junction of Kansas Highways 268 and 368. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Bryan Holland of Ottawa was driving a motorcycle westbound on K-268 with 48-year-old Stacy Holland, also of Ottawa, as a passenger. The motorcycle rear-ended a pickup truck driven by 72-year-old Arthur Hogelin of Vassar, who was westbound but was waiting to turn south onto K-368.
Byran Holland was killed. Stacy Holland was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected serious injuries. Both were wearing helmets. Hogelin was not hurt.
It’s unclear why the motorcycle rear-ended the pickup. The highway junction was closed for three hours after the wreck.
