The Emporia Seniors under-19 baseball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 12-1 win over McPherson Friday in the Topeka Seaman Tournament.
The Seniors broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning thanks to a Beau Baumgardner double. The Seniors would score three more runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and five in the seventh to clinch the win.
Hayden Baumwart was the winning pitcher allowing one run on four hits, with two strikeouts and one walk in seven innings. The Seniors are back in action Saturday as they take on the Topeka Scrappers at 10 am and the Topeka Bruins at noon.
