The city of Emporia is getting more federal aid to battle coronavirus and its impacts.
Kansas Congressman Roger Marshall’s office has announced the city is getting $132,000 for meal programs and economic development initiatives through the CARES Act announced almost three months ago.
This comes a week after Governor Laura Kelly announced a $167,000 grant for the same purposes. Staffers with Marshall’s office say Wednesday’s grant amount is on top of the one the governor announced last week.
