Tuesday night looks like a blustery night for the KVOE listening area.
High wind watches cover the area from Tuesday afternoon or evening into Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service has Lyon, Coffey, Osage and Wabaunsee counties in a watch from 8 pm Tuesday to 7 am Wednesday. Chase, Greenwood and Morris counties are in a separate watch from 4 pm Tuesday to 7 am Wednesday.
Straight-line wind gusts could reach 60 mph, which would be above the 58 mph baseline for severe thunderstorms.
