No individuals required transport from the scene of a two-vehicle collision in southwest Emporia Monday afternoon.
According to Emporia Police Officer Justin Hill, a black Nissan passenger car was traveling northbound on Wilson Street when it approached an uncontrolled intersection and failed to yield the right of way to a westbound blue Dodge pickup. The truck then struck the Nissan in the intersection causing significant front end damage to the car.
According to Hill the driver of the Nissan, a woman, was examined on scene and required no further medical treatment. The driver of the pickup was unharmed.
Officer Hill wishes to remind residents that when you come to an uncontrolled intersection, an intersection with no stop or yield signs, vehicles on the right have the right of way. Officer Hill says citations were issued for the accident, however, those details are not being released.
