Emporia Police arrested and detained a Minnesota resident following an outburst inside Emporia’s Wal-Mart Saturday.
According to Emporia Police Sgt. Timothy Wacker, 33-year-old Jamaar Saulsberry of St. Paul, Minn entered Wal-Mart visibly upset and proceeded to damage a number of items at the customer service desk. Saulsberry then reportedly knocked a number of items off of shelves before exiting the store.
According to Sgt. Wacker police officers located Saulsberry in the parking lot upon their arrival and arrested him on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal damage and disorderly conduct charges. Sgt. Wacker tells KVOE News Saulsberry caused less than $1,000 in damage, however, an exact amount is not available.
Saulsberry was taken to the Lyon County Detention Center upon his arrest.
