Governor Laura Kelly graced the Fifth Judicial District’s most recent Drug Court commencement activity Wednesday.
Kelly lauded the participants for their hard work
The program, which Lyon County Judge Lee Fowler calls one of the toughest in Kansas, has now graduated 360 people since it started in 2003.
Participants must finish all five phases of Drug Court, complete all treatment services, have no new law violations after entering the program, have full-time employment, be drug- and alcohol-free for 120 days, complete an ongoing care plan and submit a graduation application and essay.
